Provisional Home Office figures updated on 24 October 2026 record no migrants or boats arriving in the UK in small boats on any of the 7 days from 17 to 23 October 2026.

The Home Office and Border Force updated the transparency data in Migrants detected crossing the English Channel in small boats on 24 October 2026. The data is provisional.

Last 7 days. The daily table covers 17 to 23 October 2026. For each of those 7 days it shows 0 migrants arrived, 0 boats arrived and 0 boats involved in uncontrolled landings.

Week ending 18 October 2026. The weekly summary of small boat arrivals and preventions covers a different period from the daily table. For that week it shows 0 migrants arrived, 0 boats arrived and 0 migrants prevented. It records 3 events prevented. Preventions data are operational estimates collected and provided to the UK by French authorities.

What the figures count. Arrivals include people detected on arrival in the UK, and people detected in the Channel by UK authorities and then brought to the UK. They do not include people who arrive on larger vessels, who are prevented from departing France or are intercepted and returned to France, or who arrive undetected.

Preventions of migrants cover people prevented from departing France and those who return to France. Events cover boats prevented from departing or returning to France, finds of general maritime equipment, and arrests of facilitators linked to small boat crossings. General dispersal of migrants is not included.

"Boats involved in uncontrolled landings" are a subset of boats detected. They are boats recorded as arriving in the UK without interception. Anyone detected in an uncontrolled landing is counted in "migrants arrived".

Update schedule and status. Arrivals for the last 7 days are updated every day. The time series, which goes back to 2018, and the French prevention figures are updated weekly on Friday. The Home Office says the published data is provisional and subject to change, including reduction. Finalised figures appear in the quarterly Immigration system statistics, under the topic "How many people come to the UK by illegal entry routes?". Questions about the data can be sent to migrationstatsenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk.
